Stratford Theatre Company are pleased to present the first Stratford Comedy Club at The Embankment in Stratford-upon-Avon!
A great night of comedy is guaranteed and the fantastic line up is as follows – Local comedian Ashley Frieze will be your MC for the evening – a high octane larger than life performer guaranteed to raise the big laughs who has been entertaining audiences across the UK for over 20 years.

Mark Row – He has built a solid reputation as an exiting up-and-coming act, and is widely talked about as ‘one to watch’ amongst those in the know. With a world weary take on life, he has a an eye for relatable and sometimes outrageous comedy that never fails to hit the spot. In 2024 he was asked to support Terry Alderton (Live at the Apollo/Eastenders) and BGT winner Axel Blake as part of their UK tours.

Gem – Perfectly imperfect single mum of two teens, comedy addict and 90’s nostalgist. Gem has been lighting up the Birmingham comedy circuit with her warm, relatable and slightly manic tales of parenting, dating and surviving modern life. She’s performed as part of the Glitter Sisters, with sold out shows at the Rik Mayall and Kings Heath comedy festivals, proving laughter really is the best therapy!

Ricky Balshaw – A quick-witted, slow walking, fast rising star, Ricky Balshaw is without question, the funniest Paralympic Dressage medallist in the UK, perhaps the world. Stepping over his cerebral palsy like it’s the mildest of inconveniences, Ricky pulls his audience into a joyfully dark world of self-depreciating hilarity. No sympathy vote is needed (or accepted) as Ricky dominates comedy stages up and down the UK. A brilliant joke-smith and storyteller, this young man has comedy greatness in his bones.
